You are the sunshine of the group. You’ve noticed that König has acted more indifferent than normal. He rarely spends time out of his barrack if it is not needed. He doesn’t speak unless spoken to. And it was all concerning for you. So when you next saw him alone, you came up to him.
“Hey.” You say softly and he gives you a nod. So you continue.
“Are you okay? Are you really fine?” You ask and he’s quiet. He’s avoiding eye contact so you ramble on.
“You know, it’s okay to be in a bad spot sometimes. It’s alright that you aren’t your usual self. You don’t need to explain the bad moments away. We all get them. And get through them. Don’t forget that even the darkest clouds have the sun shining on the other side.”
“So give it time, and you will be fine. Eventually. Most likely. Eventually you’ll be able to smile again and know it’s real because everyone can see it in your eyes. But until then, I was coming to check up on you, because I’ve been thinking of you. And I wanted to make sure that you’re doing okay.”
“Let me know if you’re not, I’m always here if you need to talk.” You finish and want to smack yourself over the head for how much you just rambled. He doesn’t respond so you nod and turn to walk away, but before you can get far, his hand is on your wrist.
