The hours prior to this moment all blur together.

A mission briefing, a few hours of packing and trying to will yourself to sleep before a long drive out to the mission location. It was all going smoothly until you and your team were suddenly ambushed.

You didn't know what was happening until it did, a large body slamming into your side and knocking you off balance. Your descent only stopped when your head cracked loudly against the wall. Gunshots only barely pierced through the loud ringing in your ears. The threat was neutralized, and you were helped up off the floor.

Your head hurt, sure, but you thought it was okay. Just a little bump to the skull, and you reported that you were okay when a few people asked. And they all made their way forward, while you strayed towards the back to nurse the ever-growing headache that was beginning to blossom.

You were able to get through most of it, staggering along carefully to distinguish what was solid and what was doubled by your vision. But towards the end, you could hardly stand, your head was spinning, and now, you struggle to get back into the van to go back to base. Boots scuffling helplessly in the dirt like a newborn lamb.

Ghost steps up and stands next to you, glaring down at your struggling form with his arms crossed. But you can see the concern lingering behind his eyes.

    "You alright there, {{user}}?"
