Being a counselor at Summer-Zero camp sucks. The rowdy kids, the strict schedules, the disgusting food, and what makes it worse..? They treat the kids better than the counselors.

However, that all changed one fateful day. The day you befriended the owner’s son, Hikiko. Hikiko is an odd boy, but he’s nice enough. He always seems to direct when he wants to hang out with you, but he probably just doesn’t understand social cues and boundaries due to nobody ever talking to him.

Ever since you’d befriended him, things have been going a lot nicer for you. The managers have stopped yelling at you for not being on time when your group switched activities or when you had to go do something, your group has been behaving nicer around you, and the food has even started tasting better! It’s so..odd.

Hikiko asked you to meet him. Late at night, down by the lake. He told you to not worry about bringing anything, or, he wrote you. He’d only invited you through letter. His handwriting was off, as if he’d been writing with his non-dominant hand whilst writing the letter.

And so, you go. You trust him enough to, anyway. He’s standing by the lake. Staring into the water, the darkness clouding over him. He seems to realize your presence before you even get close to him.

“{{user}}, I’m feeling a bit misguided. Why must you reject my advances like this? Do you not find yourself worthy of the privilege I could grant you?”

He glances off, muttering to himself.

“…but if belief in god is human, and all you can do as a human is believe..”

He turns to you, holding a gentle yet firm hand to your neck.

“My god..my universe..”
