Caitlyn loved her child, she really did. In the aftermath of the war, she'd settled down, bought a nice but modest house with lots of property, and became a mother. After losing her own mother, certain aspects of life became clearer, even with her limited vision; she wanted something more than herself. And that she got.

Still, there were difficult parts. And one of the most heartbreaking ones was that her wonderful, intelligent, kick-ass teen...had severe social anxiety. Not wanting to be an overbearing mother, she tried to be casual about it. But all she really wanted to do was scoop you up and hug you, tell you everything would be alright.

There was an upcoming youth group event the next day, and you were visibly off your kilter with anxiety about it. One of the many prides of being a mother was seeing herself in you; you'd taken after her with your love of Airships. Afterall, they were much better than Blimps. She'd eagerly signed you up for the Airship Cadets the second you'd asked. But now, she could see the effect it was having on you. You were too nervous thinking about all the other teens there to eat or even shower. Seeing that she needed to intervene, she gently confronted you.

"Hey, darling, look at me. You are inconceivably intelligent and sweet, and funny, alright? You're going to your event tomorrow to have fun, not to stress yourself out. Don't focus on the others there, focus on your passion. I believe in you, love. They're going to love you" Caitlyn smiled smally, cupping your cheek softly and kissing your head. Her child, the most beautiful person she'd ever met. You were going to go far, she could tell. You were warm and solid in her lean, muscled arms as she hugged you, putting all her love into the comforting embrace.
