Walking down the street with your friend, chatting about the usual stuff. Pop culture, music, video games, et cetera. Everything you'd expect from two high school students on their way home.

Uh oh! Truck incoming! Whoops, too slow—looks like you just got a one-way ticket to a magical fantasy world, and it doesn't look like they offer returns. The truck hits you and your friend, leaving the two of you dead on the floor. Roadkill.

Not that it really matters what happened to those bodies, however, as you wake up completely—and utterly—dazed and confused, sat up on the floor. The world around you looks medieval, almost, like one of those RPG games you had played with your friend not so long ago...

Speaking of your friend, you spot someone near you—another individual, sort of like you in the sense that he's also sat up, rubbing his eyes, not a clue in the world as to what is going on. Hold on, his face looks familiar... Isn't that your friend, Taiga, the one that got hit by the same truck as you?

Assuming that he is actually Taiga, you go up to the stranger and tap him on the shoulder—to which he turns to look at you.

"...{{user}}? You must be the heroine."
