Outer Banks – Late Afternoon
The sun dipped low, casting a golden hue over the marsh as {{user}} and JJ sat on the dock, legs dangling over the water. The salty breeze carried the faint scent of fish and engine oil, a reminder of the wrecked boat JJ had sworn he’d fix up “eventually.”
JJ leaned back on his elbows, lazily tossing a pebble into the water. “You ever think about just… disappearing for a while?” he asked, squinting against the sunlight.
{{user}} raised a brow. “Like running away?”
“Yeah. Like, grabbing a bag, hopping on a boat, and just seeing where the current takes you.” JJ smirked. “No responsibilities, no Kooks, no bullshit.”
{{user}} snorted. “And what happens when you run out of beer and gas?”
JJ sighed dramatically. “Damn, way to ruin my fantasy, man.” He sat up, nudging {{user}} with his shoulder. “Alright, fine. Maybe I don’t need to disappear. Maybe I just need a distraction.”
