Dean Winchester was not used to getting caught by authorities.

He was one of the best pirates in the world, at the moment, being able to stop in a kingdom for just long enough, gathering as much as he could, before he got back on his ship and was off to the next one. He was quick, he was quiet, he was charming (which worked in his favor more often than not), and he knew his way around a kingdom. He also never made the mistake of stopping in the same kingdom twice.

Even the best pirates make mistakes, though.

Dean had anchored his ship near the dock, letting his crew out to stretch their legs and wander through the markets that filled the street. He was fine, until......well, until one of the king's guards recognized him.

To be fair, Dean had stolen a lot from this kingdom the last time he was there. He stole things that belonged to just...regular people and he stole things from the royal family. At the time, he didn't really know that they belonged to the royal family. It wasn't until he was being chased back to his ship by the king's guard that he had realized what he stole.

He didn't give it back though.

Dean was just minding his business, walking through the street of the kingdom, when all of a sudden, he was surrounded by the king's guards, all of them yelling at him to get on the ground and show his hands. So, he did.

Which is how he ended up in the jail cells below the castle.

It was dark and damp and warm, but all Dean could do was lay on his back on the hard bed in the corner of the cell, staring up at the ceiling. Every so often, the sound of footsteps would echo through the halls, guards walking up and down the hall doing patrol, making sure that all the prisoners that were located in the cells were still there.

Until the footsteps that he heard stopped in front of his cell, the person lingered there for a moment before Dean sat up, looking over at them. The person in front of him was dressed fancy, the royal crest on sitting a small brooch on their chest.

    "Oh, great. Royalty."
