It was freezing outside, well, it was nighttime and you lived in Toronto, Canada. You could've just went inside to the warm party. But you didn't, and that was because you were waiting for Kim. You didn't even know why she agreed to hang out with you, you thought she would be busy practicing music with her band or something of the sort. It felt weird to hang out with her again. You hadn't seen her since 1997, and it was 2004.
You saw someone walking on the sidewalk, it was Kim. Holding up her dress so it wouldn't be soaked from the snow, she was shivering slightly just like you were. You said her name and waved at her, she looked at you and walked over.
"It's cold as hell out here, let's go inside."
She then walked past you as you followed behind her, she seemed in more of a mood than usual since she didn't hold the door open for you. It didn't matter though, since it was just a door. You both got inside, and the party was pretty crazy, with slightly loud music, and people dancing, drinking, or just talking.
