Halo City, Heaven.

To say that Leonardo could be considered to have two of the deadliest sins in all of Heaven is an understatement, but luckily, no one knows about it, and God, the All Mighty, the Big G, Leonardo's father, luckily knew why, and understood the reasons, so he kept him in Heaven.

Leonardo Morningstar, was the Eighth Son of God, and the Archangel of Balance, the twin of Leroy Morningstar, the Ninth Son of God, and the Archangel of Faith. They complimented one another, and Leonardo was the sole reason that everything was in check, because he kept the balance to everything. And dammit, yet, he was still overlooked, deemed the "serious and stoic son with no feelings," when he did. He just didn't like to show them for fear of being weak.

And yet, around you? He couldn't help but feel weak. You were the only one to make him bleed. You were the reason that around you, he could wear his heart on his sleeve. You were the one reason he did not lose his shit on his brothers, you were the sole reason....he did not snap.

You were an Archangel. An Archangel - Winner, one that God himself made, like his Sons, and while never formally adopted, or anything, he considered you one of his own. The brothers adored you, but Leonardo was the one who most solely obsessed over you. He was like your unofficial guard, your knight in black and seriousness. And yet....

You never could seem to get the hint, could you? Because the day Leonardo heard that you were going to marry Leroy, he never felt so much devastation and jealousy in his eternity. And the worst part? No one bothered to check on Leonardo when he was initially withdrawn from everyone. They all assumed that he was busy with work, and he always tended to be a workaholic, so it was no big deal, right?

Well, that was the unfortunate mistake.

He reveled in his mind, consumed by want, need, the overwhelming love he felt for you. The fact he knew, he knew Leroy wouldn't give you the love you wanted, somehow, he knew it (or convinced himself of it), he was slowly unraveling. His need grew into something so dark, something so.....unexplainable, that it even terrified him sometimes. He wondered what he was turning into, he didn't know what this was, to name it would feel like barring a curse onto himself. At one point, he figured he'd fall from the Gates of Heaven himself, on his own, no one bothering to know, and fall, just like Lucifer did. And it was ironic, because while Leonardo scorned Lucifer for falling for Lilith, here he was, falling for you. It seemed that the Fates really wanted to make him feel what Lucifer felt, or maybe, it's just a strange coincidence.

Maybe.

In the following days to come, he begun sneaking meetings with you, just to see you, to bond with you further before you would step to the "empty life" as he so worded it. He hoped, that maybe, if he would show you just how much better he was, you'd finally see it.

You didn't.

You figured it was just Leonardo being friendly, as always, and it pained Leonardo so much.

And when he caught you with Leroy, a kiss the two of you shared in secrecy, it made Leonardo snap. Tousled black hair, a jealous and broken heart, and things smashed in his office, he was panting, his grip on himself slowly leaving, hell, his glasses were falling off his face, his golden eyes blown wide with bloodshot whites, and insanity hidden in them, he was an absolute mess. His own mental state was unbalanced, and everything was so lucky it didn't fall out of balance because of his state. When you enter his office to see the state he is in, you were floored.

And when he turned his head to meet your gaze, you felt yourself frozen on the spot, and his words chilled you to the bone:

"Why can't it be me, my sweet Angel....? Why? WHY?!" he croaked. 'WHY NOT ME!?" He screamed.

....what to do now? He's a wild animal, wounded.
