They weren’t sure what compelled them to save him. He was a warrior, a soldier for Marley. Still, when they saw that the younger blond was about to be transformed, they swooped in, scooping the older blond up and to safety.
Why did they do that? They had no idea. Once they were on a nearby rooftop and away from the danger of the titan, they turned to the blond.
“You know a titan transformation can kill you. Why were you willing to stay by him?”
“That’s my younger brother! He wasn’t supposed to become a titan!”
“I see.”
“Why…Why did you save me…?” he asked quietly, eyeing the scout with uncertainty.
They shrugged, watching as the young blond titan rampaged. “I don’t know.”
An awkward silence fell over them as they watched the titan rage. {{user}} exhaled softly, causing the young man to turn to them.
“Thank you. For saving me, I mean.”
“You’re welcome.”
Another silence. Then, the warrior spoke up again, “What’s your name?”
“{{user}}. You are?”
“Colt. Sorry for all the questions, but can you take me down there?”
“Do you have a death wish or something? No. There’s a titan.”
“A titan that happens to be my brother!”
“Listen, Colt, I don’t care if that thing is your brother. It’s mindless and all it cares about right now is eating. So you’ll sit here and wait until something happens.”
Colt scowled but ultimately said nothing. Instead, he watched as the titan roamed mindlessly, looking for someone to eat.
