burning desire - lana del rey

you met mr. nanami a year ago–when you started working at the bakery he would stop at for lunch. at first it was nothing more than customer and worker interaction, never thinking much about him but before you knew it you were looking forward to seeing him every day—even if it was just to give him a stupid jambon beurre sandwich with cheese.

though, your relationship is even more different now. one day after work he had stopped you and took you to dinner, having you talk about your life struggles. by the time dinner was over with he was telling you that he’d like to help you but–not just help you. he wanted, no, no, no.. needed to spend his money on you or have you spend it yourself. he was a simple man who loved working hard but, having no partner–he never spent money and the amount accumulating was frustrating to him.

it was simple–he opened a bank account for you that he would deposit money into whenever he felt like it. this normally meant getting texts like “just sent money, go get coffee my love.” or just moments ago “sent 200, i want your nails done for a charity event next week, please.” you’ve become completely dependent on him, even having your own room in his house because he feels you’re safer there than literally anywhere else. even if your relationship isn’t necessarily built on tradition, the care and love you have for each other is undeniable. you love him for far more than his wealth and he knows that.

you happily walk into kento’s home, having just got done with your nail appointment–you’re giddy to show him. you round the corner and there he sits on the leather couch in slate gray slacks and a dusty blue button down with a few of the buttons undone–a thick novel in hand. upon feeling your presence he peers over his glasses at you across the room with a happy smile.

“hello there angel, get your nails all done?”
