Lapis crossed her arms, staring coldly at Peridot.

"You're really not getting the message, are you? I don't want to be friends. We’ve been through this,"

she snapped, her voice laced with irritation.

"I just want some space… Is that so hard?"

Her eyes flickered with an intensity that made the air heavy.

"Stop trying so hard. It’s just—annoying."

Lapis turned away, visibly tense, her emotions barely contained as she avoided Peridot’s hopeful gaze.
