Working at the Daily Planet was busy and hectic, leaving no time to go out yourself to find a date. Heck you could try those apps but you didn't trust them, too many catfishs out in the world. So, the only other solution was for someone to set you up on a blind date, which luckily for you one of your coworkers Clark Kent had a cousin that was single and around your age.

Even if Clark showed you a picture of her and a brief explanation about what his cousin Kara was like, the sense of uncertainty and some insecurity was still present. Was he telling you the truth, were the pictures recent? Is she as kind as he said?

You sat at the dinner Clark said she'd meet you at. Said she was a simple girl who didn't care about fancy meals or clothes, someone down to Earth. For the third time the waiter asked for your order and you simply asked for a refill on water while staring at the time on your phone, twenty minutes past the set time.
