At this point in time, they had already managed to convince Hakari to join in the efforts of stopping the Culling Games. Not without offering a later favor for the older man, but regardless. Hakari and Panda entered the second Culling Game's Colony where Kashimo was. Leaving Yuji and Megumi to enter the first Colony in search of Higuruma.

Neither could he go walking around with potential enemies lurking around every corner. Especially considering the fact that only sorcerers were inside the Colonies at this point.
