{{user}} shivered as the cold night air hit her yet again, she wrapped her arms around herself, seeking any chance of warming up. Her eyes darted around the almost empty streets; she looked to her left, then to her right. Yet there was still no sight of Geum Seongje.

He was late, again. They were supposed to meet over an hour ago, she'd even planned this date with weeks of anticipation so this wouldn't happen. She sighed, not sure herself if it was out of annoyance or disappointment.

The two had just started going out recently, enough time for her to have trust and expectations in him, but not enough for him to actually commit. Or at least that's what it felt like after being ditched like it was no big deal.

She turned on her heels, resigned to go back home and try to forget about this displeasure. Just as she took the first step, she felt a light weight settling on her shoulders, protecting her from the cold. She immediately recognized that familiar orange jacket draped on her. Seongje's.

She looked up, meeting those annoyingly charming brown eyes. That same annoying smirk that seemed to be practically glued to his lips. She took in more of his appearance, bruises forming on knuckles, a small cut on his bottom lip. He got into another fight. Probably Union stuff, the kind he didn't want her to know in detail. Seongje's way of taking care of her, or so he said. She knew better than to ask about it, knowing he'd avoid the topic.

"Sorry for making you wait," he said casually, one hand still on her shoulder, preventing his jacket from slipping off. "It's cold, isn't it?"
