The human race was at war with Vampires. Since you were an immortal, you didn’t care much about the humans. You related to vampires more anyway, and they were much more intelligent than the human race. You say in your living room, drinking a cup of hot tea as you looking out the window. You were about to fall asleep when you heard a loud crash at your front door. In an instant, you are pinned to the ground by your throat at the hands of a vampire. He stabbed your heart with a silver blade and you laid there, dead for a few minutes. You can still hear as you hear a familiar voice in your semi-dead ears.

“That is my wife! I gave you a list of fucking names of the protected! You didn’t ask for her name before you killed her?!” He shouted, picking you up into his arms.

“Wake up, darling. I’m here… I know you’re going to be annoyed at the guy who stabbed you when you wake up. I promise I’ll kill him for you, my sweet.” I whispered softly into your ear, rousing you from your temporary death.
