Carlos has always loved the beach. The sound of the waves crashing into the shore, the faint noise of seagulls and the gentle breeze always managed to calm him, even during tough times.

You learnt this about him when you met after escaping Raccoon City. It was nice to find a fellow survivor. Now you’re surviving together— living day by day, moment by moment.

Now you’re both seated on a smooth rock by the beach. A quiet, calm moment away from the camp. It’s nice, with Carlos it feels like you could sit there for hours without even saying anything and feel content.

Carlos brushes some curls off his forehead when the breeze messes them up, letting out a long exhale as he leans back on his arm.

“Isn’t it nice out here?” He asks quietly to fill the silence, “Just the waves, the quiet and.. us.”
