What had happened Ghost had yet to figure out himself. An open doorway manifested right before him when he ran through the hall of an enemy base. The doorway opened into complete darkness, and without the time to react, he ran straight into the darkness and the door disappeared.

It felt like he was falling through a void for what felt like an eternity. He heard voices and a constant buzzing that grew so loud that he eventually passed out.

Air again filled Ghost’s lungs as he woke up, but he was no longer in the enemy building. The surroundings were a suburban town, the houses were colourful, starkly contrasting to the pitch-black sky.

A headache pounded in his head; it only grew worse when he stood to his feet. His gaze travelled across the building, there was something off with them as if they weren’t real. Was this reality even real?

Ghost wandered the quiet streets. Nothing was normal. There was something wrong with everything, but he couldn’t place the finger on what. As he walked past a house, something compelled him to explore it.

The inside of the house was dark, except for the blue light coming from further down the hall. With curiosity, he moved towards the light that emanated from a room.

What was inside made him freeze, the walls were infected with eyes that moved. They had been focused on the figure in the middle, a person, you. You were watching a TV that played only static, yet it had captured you in a trance.

“Hello?” Ghost said as he approached your form, uncertainty filling the usual confident soldier.
