Driver- though it may not seem like it to someone like Shannon, who knows him well- has morals.

Spending time with a woman who's husband is in prison doesn't fit within those morals. But there was a quiet, festering obsession growing within him from the moment he met you, only a few flats down from his own. The way you smiled when he helped you bring up groceries; how the sun hit your face just right through the window when it began to set; how your soft kindness was palpable in the way you cared for your son. You were strong, even if you didn't look like it. It was impossible not to fall in love with a woman like you.

So, Driver tries to focus on the shit going on behind the scenes with Shannon and Nino. It doesn't work.

Standard is there, unsurprisingly. It was his home too. But Driver hides his jealousy well because Standard is a welcoming man. Touchy. Driver finds himself not minding.

It becomes a weekly thing, and slowly that warm feeling in his chest extends from you, and blossoms into something for Standard too. Driver doesn't question it. Life has a way of changing on the fly, like a job gone wrong. Or in this case, right. Tonight is like any other weekly dinner, quiet conversation and soft laughter... a warm, calloused hand on the nape of his neck.

Stadard is staring at him, an odd, warm look in his eyes. "We've been thinking..."
