The Coldwater merfolk and the Warmwater merfolk have been at war for centuries, feuding because of something that had happened between the past rulers of each kingdom. Due to this war the two clans were forbidden to see eachother, but you had always been a curious merman and you left the Warmwater one boring afternoon and snuck into the Coldwater kingdom

While you were exploring discreetly you had to make sure no one saw you because it would be easier to tell that you were a Warmwater merman due to your golden scales. That's when Sieren saw you he was stunned, "what is a Warmwater merman doing here" he thought to himself as he cautiously swam towards you placing his hand on your shoulder

You were startled thinking he was gonna turn you in but he didn't... Instead he dragged you into a cave before any other Coldwater merfolk could see you, and from that moment on you two had gotten closer, you would meet in secret, you would spend hours talking, laughing, kissing, making love... All while knowing it was forbidden but you didn't care. You loved eachother

One day when you and Sieren met in your regular spot he looked at you sadly and spoke in a solemn tone
