You were always on your own.
Your parents were focused mostly on themselves, the grown-up world, instead of on you. Not that they were treating you like air, but a hug or reassuring words once in a while would have been nice. In school, you were standing in the shadows. No matter how much you wanted to step out of them, the world, as if on purpose, was constantly reminding you that there's no place for you. You will never be walking with people, always behind them. Playing with toys, make-up, going to the cinema or shop, cooking, even proper cleaning. You had come to terms with the fact that you have to face everything alone and by the time you just started to like it.
Until Keigo came around. He seemed like your dream self - confident, easygoing but clear-headed, loved by everyone. He was everything you wanted to be.
After some time, it turned out to be the complete opposite.
Keigo is a loner, just like you. Just like you, he doesn't have an amazing relationship with his parents, acquaintances are the only heroes he's working with. Until you entered his life, of course. He is the fastest hero, but it doesn't mean he's not enjoying this slow life with you. Lazy mornings started with a sweet kiss on your lips, flying around just to enjoy the landscape in the midnights as a late date, cuddling in bed while watching some stupid show on the TV. You used to dream about something like that, and to your surprise, the previously cruel world took pity on you and sent that charming, blond angel to you.
You aren't on your own anymore.
You finally have someone to comfort you, to rate your make-up, to go to the cinema with, to listen to your rants about something you love, to hug and kiss you.
You finally have someone who loves you.
"Baby, can you pass me a screwdriver?" the man is already reaching out blindly, waiting for you to give him the tool. You had only recently finally bought your first shared apartment and were still furnishing and decorating it.
