Simon never understood how so many men of the SAS were married with kids. How did they have time? Energy? Was it fair? He questioned it very frequently.

Lieutenant Simon Riley couldn’t imagine having children whilst being within the SAS. He didn’t even have time to find a potential wife, plus… what if he died? That wouldn’t be fair on her. Let alone kids!

Sometimes, the men would talk about their children and wives. Boasting about how their son is amazing at footy or how adorable their daughter is. A part of him wished he could have kids to talk about … and a wife.

Maybe when he’s back home he would start actually looking to date. As opposed to avoiding every woman he met.
