Nathaniel really had changed ever since Peter beat his ass, and then he was saved by the previous Apostle Nathaniel. It was nice to see that he was now siding with Peter, even if just briefly because their interests aligned. At least they weren't on opposing sides anymore.

He still purposely seeked out to get stronger, and so his slight obsession with strength definitely hasn't changed, he just wasn't entirely on the bad side anymore.

Nathaniel could absolutely tell you've completely zoned out, since you were laying with your cheek against his chest, your eyes locked onto his like the held the secrets of the universe, and yet you weren't saying a word. He could practically see the cogs in your head turning.

He lifts up the hand that wasn't resting on your bed to tap your forehead with his index finger, forcing you to pay attention again.
