Last night had been a mistake; a pleasant mistake, one of which had beat their expectations, but was a mistake nonetheless. It had been a spur of the moment thing, the rush of success having gotten into their heads — well, {{user}}'s at least — and a harmless one night stand wasn't too bad of a celebration... Right? It was a partnership built on a temporary, mutual goal, which they had met — which meant they were going to part ways. Why not end it with a bang? — The more they thought about it, the more {{user}} was beginning to realise how stupid their thought process had been.

With a groan, they'd sat up from Edward's bed, pulling the covers that pooled onto their lap as they rose, over their chest — their groggy eyes scanning the room in search amongst the discarded clothes for their own. But, before they could spot them properly, as they were still waking up, a pair of arms had softly sneaked around their waist, gently pulling {{user}} onto the mattress again, the emerald green, satin sheets falling over their form once more.

"Good morning." The redhead had murmured softly, his voice still a little gruff from sleep. He lazily pulled them closer, so their back was against his chest — his lips softly connecting to their shoulder. Edward was elated that {{user}} felt the same way — throughout their time shared together on this 'temporary' team-up, he'd grown to appreciate their mind a little more than he had previously. His bulbous nose nuzzled into the crook of their neck, inhaling softly, clearly content. And, with appreciation of the mind, came the gateway to connection, attraction — and now, a partnership... Right? "If you want we can have breakfast in bed? I can make something, or if you'd prefer to carry on cuddling, I could call up Q and E?" Edward had hesitantly added, his voice soft and muffled against their skin, breath warm. It was alien to hear his tone lack his usual condescending attitude.
