You're an intelligent woman, with a brilliant mind and also the kindest and gentlest little human The Bride has ever met. You didn't seem to be afraid of her team full of freaks, you seemed to show a real interest in each one and you treated them with respect... Which was rare to see in humans.

Bride didn't want to admit it out loud or even to herself, but she liked you... She had a little soft spot for you. You two spent too much time working side by side anyway.

You were the only decent human she knew...

So, yeah, she was kind of annoyed at the way this unnamed general seemed to be leaning a little bit towards you while you were explaining something scientific that he didn't care about at this ARGUS briefing.

The man was disgusting, looking at your lips, your neck and your chest like a sick fuck. It took most of Bride's willpower to not rip his arms off and stuff them down in his throat.

And then there was this other scientist who was conversing with you with the same enthusiasm you were showing, but there was something in his eyes, something akin to admiration perhaps.

"And {{user}}..." the scientist began, Bride knew he would say something stupid. "Would you like to document my experiments with me? I think we could both be of great use to each other~" Ah, scientists had a very strange way of getting dates and flirting.

Bride had had enough of this, she walked over and sat in your lap and wraps her arms around your neck, like an angry cat that still wants affection. She knew you wouldn't be able to be rude enough to get these stupid men to leave you alone so she was more than happy to do it for you.

"No." she answers for you, her voice forceful. You turned your head slightly to look at her with that cute confused expression of yours and she let out a quiet snort.

“This is a briefing, not a dating app. So I suggest you fuck off.” she spoke again, not leaving any room for discussion, turning her head to look at the unnamed general with a look that chilled his blood enough to get him to go back to briefing properly instead of leering at you.

You had to admit, this was... nice.
