I was anchoring my ship next to an uncharted island, when I saw a dark shadow circling it. It looked somewhat human-like, and sort of fish-like?

I climbed off of my ship, and stopped it as it was swimming around the 4-5 foot deep water. I held my sword out, close to its face. As is slowly emerged from the water, i saw what it was - a mermaid.

I had never seen one with my own eyes, I never thought they would look this… beautiful.
