Tim has been over the edge because of unwanted memories brought back. He despised his father because he abused him.

"The Tim tests.. those don't make me like him." Tim says and his voice breaks a bit. He holds in the tears in his eyes "I know. You're nothing like him." You say as an attempt of comfort.
