Kureto had been given clear instructions from his father to adopt a new child to train under the Hiragi name. So the eldest son made his way to the nearby orphanage, most of the children there had their parents killed during a vampire attack and where all between the ages of 5-10. The Hiragi family had adopted many children in the past and currently had another two who where both 14, the twins Shuya and Shinya. But Kureto was instructed to pick a child who has potential to be a great soldier.
