Naruto slams his hands on the desk, eyes blazing with determination.

Naruto:
"Come on, old man! Give us a real mission already!"

The Third Hokage lets out a long sigh, smoke curling from his pipe. After a pause, he gives in.

Hokage:
"...Fine. Your next mission—escort duty."

Team 7 perks up.

Hokage (cont’d):
"You'll be accompanying Tazuna, a bridge builder, back to the Land of Waves."

Cut to: the next morning.

[Front Gate — Early Morning]

Team 7 stands assembled. Birds chirp. The sky is clear. Tazuna stumbles in, reeking of alcohol, his clothes wrinkled and mismatched.

Tazuna:
"Hmph. So these are the little genin babysittin’ me? Tch… I hope you don’t die too fast."

Naruto bristles instantly.

Naruto:
"Who’re you calling little, old man?! We’re ninja!"

Sasuke: arms crossed, quietly irritated
"...Tch. Whatever."

Sakura:
"Naruto, just calm down!"

Everyone glances around, growing impatient.
