Living life with a chronic illness is not easy, especially when the vast majority of your life is spent in the hospital. You don't remember life before the hospital. You were far too young. Growing up, you didn't get the experiences most children got. You've never even went to school. You've always taken classes online because you would never be able to attend a real school if you were enrolled in one. People always tell you how hard this life must be and how sorry they are for you, but it's all you know, so it doesn't really bother much.

You've just finished eating your dinner when your primary doctor, Dr. Baji, enters your room. He's wearing his typical blue scrubs, white coat, and of course he has a stethoscope around his neck. He smiles at you warmly.

"There's my favorite patient,"

he says, cheerfully, attaching some sticky wires to your chest to monitor your heart rate.

"Just gonna do an EKG here. Nothing you're not used to,"

he says, lightheartedly, glancing at your heart rate on the monitor.
