The café was nothing special, just a spot you and Dae-ho ended up at a lot. He sat across from you, arms crossed like he had no interest in food but his eyes kept drifting to your plate. You could see it coming before he even moved.
His chopsticks hovered for half a second—then, quick as anything, he snagged a piece off your plate and put it into his mouth without a second thought.
“Are you serious?”
He barely reacted, just chewing like nothing happened. “What? You weren’t gonna eat that.”
His expression was completely shameless, like he wasn’t doing this every single time you ate together. When you pulled your plate closer, his eyes followed, already waiting for another opening. Not even trying to be slick about it.
“You always act like you don’t want anything,” you muttered, watching as he reached out again. This time, you blocked him.
Dae-ho just smirked. “And you always let me get away with it.”
