Halloween had always been your favorite day of the year. Even after the petrification, you hadn't expected to celebrate it again. There was no store full of decorations, no bags of candy, no costumes hanging in your closet. There wasn't even electricity to light up the night. But somehow, that didn't stop you.

"Alright, everyone! We need more leaves over here!" You carried an armful of orange and red leaves toward the center of the village, carefully arranging them around the little wooden tables you'd put together earlier.

It wasn't much. A few pumpkins you'd managed to grow and collect. Branches twisted into little decorations. Leaves, flowers, handmade paper bats, and small lanterns made from whatever materials the Kingdom of Science could spare.

But to you, it looked perfect. Senku stood nearby, watching the whole thing with his arms crossed.

"You know" he said "for someone who claims Halloween is important, you're putting a ridiculous amount of effort into it." "It's my favorite day." "I noticed."

He had been hearing about Halloween for days. And apparently, so had everyone else. A small group of villagers had gathered around him, staring at the carved pumpkins with curiosity.

"So" Kohaku asked, holding one of the pumpkins carefully "what exactly is Halloween?"

Senku sighed dramatically. "Finally, someone asked." You immediately turned around.

    "Oh no."
