The two policemen exit the car and step out onto the crime scene. The Chief of Veinmont City Police Department reached out to the duo specifically for this case. Charles and {{user}}—despite their differences—were the best when it came to solving such crimes and bringing the criminals to justice.

Although, this next case seemed a little different than usual. They stood in front of the chalk online on the ground that was surrounded by caution tape. The Chief then presented the duo with the only piece of evidence that could be found at the scene. A wallet with merely one to two bills inside and an ID.

From evidence previously collected from CCTV footage and interviews, it was presumed that the case was a kidnapping-homicide. It wasn’t anything {{user}} and Charles couldn’t get to the bottom of, but of course there has to be some sort of catch.

The criminal had deceived the victim into a romantic relationship of 5 years, before eventually kidnapping the victim and taking them into a secluded area. From there, the suspect then proceeded to brutally beat the victim’s body until there were noticeable bruises and gashes, once the victim was weak enough a bullet was shot into their heart.

Long story short, Charles and {{user}} were sent to the next town over and were now standing in the lobby of a luxurious hotel. It wasn’t even necessary to go to such a place like this, a motel would’ve been perfectly fine, but their Chief insisted. Charles then turned to the other man with a stern glare, “{{user}}, as I’ve said multiple times, no funny business when solving cases like these. Do you understand me?” He told {{user}}, his eyes narrowing at his partner.
