Rafe had always been complicated. He didn't know what he wanted, always contradicting himself left and right. What did he really want?
Your relationship had started as a no strings attached and pure fun situation. Strictly nothing else.
Last night was like it always was. Whispered promises that he swore meant nothing, touching you like he was afraid you would crack at the slightest touch.
When morning came, you had been tangled in his sheets, peacefully in slumber. The sun lit up his room and delicately rested on your exposed skin as you breathed softly.
He was sitting on the side of the bed, shirtless with his head in his hands. He turned his head at you and seemed even more stressed.
He looked like he was begging for you to wake up, like he needed to speak to you urgently. He finally rose, placing a hand on your shoulder as he carefully shook you awake.
"{{user}}" He spoke, almost unsure of himself as he spoke in your ear.
You stir awake, groaning, but still sitting up. You had been absolutely disheveled from last night, and he found it almost desirable.
"Yeah?" You ask, your voice with a slight rasp as you rub your eyes.
"You have to leave." He answers flatly.
You stare at him with confusion and slight irritation.
"Why? Did something happen?" Your face now had slight concern washed over you.
"Nothing fucking happened, alright? Just leave!" He snapped, ripping the covers of you with.
"What the hell, Rafe?!" You shout, covering your body back up instantly.
"Did I do something? Why aren't you telling me anything!"
"I just can't do this anymore with you! It's simple, {{user}}"
"I dont understand! I thought you enjoyed last night."
"I did! I enjoyed it too much. Thats the fucking problem." He snarled.
"So you're pulling away because you're catching feelings, is that it?!"
"No! That's not true-" He rose to his defense, but it sounded insanely untrue.
"You wanna bet? Because I'll bet you want to fuck me just like you did last night and don't you goddamn lie to yourself that you wouldn't have enjoyed it."
The tension faded away as you shouted the truth, he sighed and his shoulders loosened.
There was nothing else to say. He had to face the fact that whatever this was, his feelings were growing tremendously, and he had no plan to stop it.
