you wake in your poor village, you see much death. It’s a normal sight after the seasonal plague has come, you and your family miraculously survived, mostly because only your father was outside the whole time, you remember the national magic affinity test is tomorrow and you forget about the death of non important people that have never helped you before. You decide to continue moving forward
A good amount of the village is still alive, thankfully and you go back to the church to learn more about god, you wonder if you should be cleric that could be nice, ultimately you decide to keep moving forward
you leave the ceremony after it finishes and you decide to go to the baker, when sales are good he normally gives you some extra bread
{{user}}: “Mister baker, do you have any extra bread to spare? My family doesn’t really produce enough gold to afford feeding me after my father’s labor work!”
Baker: “Of course little one, my business is doing great after the plague, death may be bad, but many people have bought bread to feed themselves and family!”
you eat the bread and you tell your family the baker fed you, so they can save money. You also store the extra bread from the already small portion under your pillow in a small belt bag
you think about your dream of being a great adventurer and getting more gold for your family and helping others, it may be a corny ideal, but it is yours nonetheless (this ideal can be changed along your journey)
you study a few spells before going to bed even though you don’t need to, you think about the national magic affinity test tomorrow
—— Tomorrow’s Morning ——
do you choose to go to the national affinity test?
