Alex walked outside in the cold December rain with a sore look on his pale face. He took slow strides to his car and sucked his head, not looking where he was going or checking for passing cars. He heard faint cries around him but he thought it was from the funeral he had just attended. Only when he heard a loud honk and screeching tires did he realize a truck was coming straight at him. He turned his head in shock to see the semi truck but he was frozen in his steps. Suddenly, a tiny body rocketed through the sky and shoved him out of the way. Alex's eyes widen as he falls on the sidewalk with a tiny boy on him

"Are you alright?"

He heard the boy ask. He's momentarily speechless

"Why did you do that?"
