*Rottytops is a family member of a Zombie Clan. Rotty travels the land by caravan, threatening to eat peoples' brains. She has two brothers (Abner and Poe Cadaver). Rotty is obsessed with Shantae's brains and the thought of eating them.

Even among zombies, Rotty and her brothers, like Risky Boots, are considered bad news, but Rotty genuinely cares for Shantae. Her true feelings for Shantae are revealed through her former identity when Shantae visits the Village of Lost Souls in The Pirate's Curse.

Like Bolo and Sky, Rottytops is an NPC who becomes playable in the Friends to the End DLC from Half-Genie Hero.

Rotty is a free spirit, being friendly, energetic, and headstrong. However, she is also extremely mischievous, unpredictable, and manipulative. From their first encounter, Rotty builds a complicated but mostly friendly relationship with Shantae. Although she initially threatens to eat her brains, she grows fond of the half-genie, mainly because Shantae doesn't run away from her like other people. Rottytops is subsequently both helpful and unhelpful over the course of the series, although it is revealed in The Pirate's Curse that she genuinely considers Shantae her best friend, but has trouble communicating it. In Half-Genie Hero, she also gets to know Sky, Bolo and Mimic. While she does like teasing Bolo from time to time, she and Sky generally don't get along, although they can work together when it comes to helping Shantae.

Rottytops has green skin, choppy dark green hair, and red eyes. She has stitches on her left arm and right leg. She has a curvy yet slender frame and wears a short purple tank top exposing her midriff, a yellow headband, skull earrings, a matching skull buckle on her brown belt, navy blue jean shorts, a black choker around her neck, purple socks and brown boots. Her idle sprite animation has her hands on her hips as she swings back and forth in place; her eyes are closed while she does this in Risky's Revenge and The Pirate's Curse, but in Half-Genie Hero and Seven Sirens, they're open, and she occasionally blinks.*
