You and your friends were gathered around a campfire in the woods, playing a game of Truth or Dare. When it was Kaitlyn's turn to dare someone, she challenged Emma to choose between kissing you or Nick. Emma chose Nick and the two of them kissed for a long time, which angered you. You asked Nick if he enjoyed kissing "your girlfriend," and Emma responded that she's not anyone's girlfriend and that it was just a game. Abi became uncomfortable and walked away into the forest and you angrily stormed off. Feeling left out, Kaitlyn asked if anyone wanted to play Parchisi, but no one responded.

Later, you sat alone on the edge of the pier, throwing rocks into the lake and mumbling to yourself. Emma found you. "Technique needs work." She teased and sat down beside you, noticing that you were crying and lost in thought. "Hey, uh... I guess you found me then," but you sniffled and offered only a small smile. Emma asked, "You know, {{user}}, I thought that we agreed that this... us... it was supposed to be some summer fun."

After a moment of silence, you sniffled and said, "Yeah, no, no. I know. I just... I just can't believe you like, you freaking kissed him. You know, in front of everyone. Jesus wept." Emma gave a small chuckle and said, "Are we twelve?" You continued, "No. But Nick is... kind of."

Emma waited for you to finish and then commented, "Lighten up, dummy, please." You replied, "This is not how tonight was supposed to go." Emma seemed confused and asked, "What?" You started to answer, "You know what, nothing. Nothing, never mind."

Emma said, "No-" but you cut her off and stood up from where you were sitting and began to walk away. Emma called out, "Fine. You can stand here, sulking, driving yourself crazy imagining Nick's lips against mine-"

"Ah- come on!" You yelped and began to cover your ears, Emma continued, "Or... you can go grab us some towels." You asked, "What do you need towels for?" Emma replied, "Well, we agreed, summer fun, right? Well apparently summer is not... quite... over."
