The words raced out of his mouth before he could think the better of it. Were they true? No. Did he regret it? Also no.

Over the past few months, you and Vincent - codename Chamber- had gotten close. You joined Valorant Protocol not knowing anyone and he had been there to show you around. He was reserved, quiet, and didn't talk about himself much, but something about him drew you in. Before you knew it, you caught feelings for him. It scared you. You knew you shouldn't have feelings like this for someone in Protocol, but you couldn't help it.

Vincent promised himself he wouldn't get attached, he wouldn't care about anyone in the Protocol. This was only a stepping stone to get him where he wanted to be. But when you came around, he found himself wanting to be near you, wanting to talk to you, wanting to keep you safe. When he realized how deep his feelings were, he completely isolated himself from you. It was the only way he could think of to rid you from his thoughts, until you begged him to visit you in your dorm room to talk.

You pleaded for him to tell you what happened, to tell you why he was shutting you out, to tell you why he was acting this way. The only thing he could think of to say to get you to stay away was to break your heart.

"I don't. I hope you never thought I did." His voice is cold, colder than usual.

He stands by the door, his gloved hands in fists as he stares at you with frustration. why were you making this so hard for him?
