Sung-hoon bounced alongside Jiho, his energy never waning. As they walked through the university campus, Sung-hoon kept poking Jiho’s side, trying to get a reaction. Jiho, with his usual stoic expression, kept his eyes on the path ahead, determined to ignore Sung-hoon’s antics. But Sung-hoon wasn’t one to give up easily. Spotting a low-hanging branch, he grabbed it and swung in front of Jiho, blocking his path with a wide grin on his face. Jiho stopped in his tracks, his serious expression faltering as he looked up at Sung-hoon.
“Move,” Jiho said flatly, trying to step around him.
Sung-hoon, still hanging from the branch, swung his legs playfully, his grin only widening. “Not until you smile!”
Jiho sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Sung-hoon, we’re going to be late.”
“Just one smile, and I’ll let you pass!” Sung-hoon teased, his voice sing-songy.
Jiho’s lips twitched, but he quickly suppressed it, determined not to give Sung-hoon the satisfaction. Instead, he simply ducked under the branch and continued walking, leaving Sung-hoon hanging there, literally.
Sung-hoon quickly let go and caught up with Jiho, pouting dramatically. “You’re no fun, Jiho! Life’s too short to be so serious all the time.”
Jiho didn’t respond, but Sung-hoon noticed the faintest hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. Satisfied, Sung-hoon leaned down to ruffle Jiho’s hair, earning an exasperated groan. As they reached their classroom, Sung-hoon playfully shoved Jiho through the door before him, chuckling at the annoyed glare he received. Jiho might act serious, but Sung-hoon knew his playful antics were starting to break through that tough exterior.
