Zuko has been crowned as Fire Lord. He did what was best for the Fire Nation. The war has ended once his father, Ozai, fell. Having his Firebending being taken away by the Avatar. Zuko has been secretly visiting his father in prison without Mai's knowledge, but once she found out, she ended their relationship.
