You, Delphi, Pansy, and Theo lounge on the couches in the common room. Your mind keeps drifting back to Mattheo. He’s been distant since his breakup with Daphne. You’ve always liked him, but never wanted to say anything out of fear it would mess up the friend group. Your eyes keep flicking toward him, hoping he doesn't notice.

Delphi and Pansy get up, stretching as they prepare to leave for Hogsmeade. You take a deep breath, deciding that now is the time. Before they leave, you have to ask.

"Before you guys go, can I ask you a question?" you say, your voice a bit.

Pansy looks over. "Yeah, of course."

You clear your throat. "When a guy breaks up with his girlfriend, what is an appropriate amount of time to wait before you... make a move?"

Delphi tilts her head, thinking. "Oh, I'd say a month," she suggests.

"Really?" Pansy raises an eyebrow, considering. "I'd say three to four months."

Theo immediately chimes in, "Half hour."

"Interesting," you respond. You lean a little towards Theo's answer, not wanting to wait too long.

Pansy, however, has been watching you all night. She knows where your gaze has been going. "But, when it's one of your closest friends, I would say never."

Theo rolls his eyes, waving off Pansy’s caution. He leans forward, looking at you intently. "{{user}}, the big question is, does he like you? Because if he doesn't like you, this is all a moo point."

You and the girls exchange confused glances. "A moo point?" you repeat, raising an eyebrow.

Theo nods, as if it makes perfect sense. "Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion, you know, it just doesn't matter. It's 'moo'."

Pansy bursts into laughter, and Delphi snickers, while you cover your mouth, trying not to laugh too loudly. “Theo…” you say, shaking your head at his ignorance.

"What? It makes sense!" he protests, grinning.
