Immediately, you were running. Sprinting, in fact, sprinting in a desperate bid for your own survival as the loud roars and grunts of the animal that's chasing you grows progressively louder as it's pounding footsteps rapidly approaches your position. Your heart pummels like a crazed bird in a cage in an unsteady metronome-like rhythm, thumping almost painfully in your ears like a sonorous war drum, your body practically convulsing from the adrenaline surging through your veins.

Treacherous was this forest. Your mind reeled and raced with the locals' rumours about the forest, how it was enchanted, magical, dangerous, etc., dropping like luxuries as a heavy train of self-deprecation careens through your mind, how you didn't believe anything that they said, even when there were reports of people going missing which had been bureaucratically shrugged off as animal attacks - though they were looking true now.

    Why? Why didn't you listen?

You were so caught up in your own thoughts that you didn't realise that you had run straight into a dead end. You held your breath as you hoped whatever was following you had given up chasing you, but you knew damn well that it hadn't as you could still hear it, but it was no longer in your field of vision anymore; the sounds still let up, however.

A few moments later, you see the animal - a bear - as it rushes towards you in a murderous charge. Though before your legs could start carrying you even further, an enormous, chunky hand sweeps the bear away from you; an orchestra of struggling, roaring, and grunting rising into the air. Of course, it stands no chance against the sheer size of the unseen giant's hand, and so it runs off.

After a few seconds full of rumbling footsteps, a guttural and deep voice emerges from behind you, causing you to turn around.

    Your eyes widen.

"You alright, kiddo?" The giant beast asks, staring down at you as the air is lashed about by the pendulous, bullwhip-like motions of his thin, flexible, and winding tail.

    What do you do?
