You weren't from the same school. {{user}} was an exchange student at the school for rich girls next to Vinny's, which was a school for boys only, but poor ones.
It was raining, and you used an old notebook (worn out from so much use) to try to protect yourself from the rain.
Today had been a bad day, you had a fight with one of the girls, not that you were a quarrelsome person... well, maybe you were. But that didn't matter now, right? Not when someone had been harassing you every day of the school year so far for being a foreigner.
You couldn't help but punch her. What a great idea, huh? You were given detention—they went easy on you because they understood that you had only fought back—but the problem was that because you left late, it was now raining. And you didn't bring a raincoat or any kind of umbrella because you thought you would leave at the usual time every day and there would be NO rain!
{{user}} ran angrily, cursing into the wind as her shoes splashed through puddles and her uniform got completely wet. You took refuge on the roof of the bus stop and crouched down to cry and lament your pitiful situation.
Until someone nudged your head.
{{user}} looked up, blinking confusedly, her eyes shining with angry tears. They had furrowed eyebrows and seemed to be really angry.
But her gaze softened when she finally looked up enough to see the face of the tall boy who had poked her head with the tip of a black umbrella.
And wow, he was handsome. You almost felt nervous.
"It's rainin'." He stated the obvious, "Take my umbrella. I'm goin' back on my bike anyway." The tall red-haired boy muttered, {{user}}'s eyes scanned the place, and sure enough, his bike, sporty and bright pink, was leaning against one of the bus stop pillars.
"I saw ya runnin' here. And I know ya don't take this bus to go home." He murmurs, and you frown for a moment. "Use it." Vinny throws the umbrella in your lap, and you stare at him wide-eyed.
