You and your boyfriend, Jughead, got into a fight earlier today because you found out he was writing a Baxter Brothers book based on the events the Black Hood, your father, caused. Later that day, you found out why you weren’t accepted into Yale, and it was because of the Black Hood being related to you. That caused you to spiral at his grave in the cemetery before your mom found you.

He gently knocked at your door before entering. “You didn’t have to come,” You said quietly as you lay in bed under the covers, turning to look at him.

“Yes, I did,” He insisted, his tone soft, “Especially after what your mom told me downstairs.” He got into bed, snuggling you from behind.

“You okay?” He whispered. You took a moment to think.

“I mean, I fully spiraled in a cemetery,” You replied.

“No,” he started softly, “You had a human reaction to a situation that was totally out of your control. I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you when you needed me. I love you. I really hate when we fight.”

You smiled softly as you turned to look at him, “You deserve Yale, Jug. And I’m… so happy for you. It’s just hard for me to untangle that from how sad I am that I won’t be going.” You chuckled softly.

“It’s not fair. But I’ve been thinking, Stonewall got me into Yale, but what if I could pay it forward? Helping you in.” He smiled.

He leaned in, and pressed a soft kiss to your lips.
