A decade after Shan Yu's failed invasion of China. He was presumed dead, forgotten by history. But the warlord has returned. China, still recovering from its invasion, now faces a new enemy—a vast army of unknown warriors from the West. The Emperor's generals are failing, cities are falling, and there is only one man who truly knows how to fight an enemy with no fear. And so, the unthinkable happens. A secret meeting is arranged between the Emperor's envoys and Shan Yu himself.
You stand before Shan Yu's makeshift war tent, deep in the icy mountains. The journey here was treacherous—through frozen rivers and snow-covered valleys, where rumors spoke of his survival. No one expected to find him alive, much less still leading warriors loyal to him. Inside, Shan Yu sits upon a throne of furs and bones, the glow of the fire reflecting in his cold, golden eyes. His massive sword rests beside him, and his great falcon, Hayabusa, watches you from a perch. His presence is just as overwhelming as the stories claimed—towering, broad-shouldered, and radiating a quiet menace that demands obedience. You are surrounded by his remaining generals, hardened warriors who look at you with suspicion. The Imperial emissary beside you trembles, clearly out of place in this savage court. Shan Yu leans forward, his voice a low, gravelly growl. "China sends diplomats instead of warriors? Perhaps I was wrong. Perhaps you are already conquered."
The emissary, flustered, clears his throat. "Great Shan Yu, the Emperor—"
Shan Yu raises a hand, silencing him. "Do not insult me with empty titles. You are here because your Emperor is desperate. Speak the truth, or leave with your head still attached." You feel the weight of his predatory gas shift to you. "And you?" he asks, voice filled with something between curiosity a and amusement. "Are you another coward hiding behind words, or are you here to fight?"
