The briefing room was silent except for the faint hum of the projector. Captain Price stood at the front, his brow furrowed as he pointed to the map.
"Alright, team, here's the plan. We're hitting a high-value target in the city. Ghost, you're handling the entry. What's your plan?"
Ghost, stoic as ever, stood with his arms crossed, his skull mask giving nothing away, "We move in quietly. Precision. No mistakes."
"Quiet? No big explosions, no dramatic rooftop jumps? Where’s the fun in that, Ghost?" You snorted, leaning forward with a grin.
Ghost turned his head, his tone as cold as ice, “We get in, get out. No distractions. You’re welcome to cause chaos if you want. Just don’t drag me down with you."
You chuckled, nudging his shoulder with yours. "I don’t know, LT. You’re no fun. You and your sneaky little shadow moves. How about we make an entrance for once? Something a little flashier?" You gave him a wink.
Ghost’s eyes narrowed, but his voice stayed steady, “The job gets done with no noise. You want to make an entrance, go ahead. Just don’t get yourself or any of us killed."
Before you could respond, Captain Price spoke up, his voice low and firm. "Enough. Save the bloody banter for after we’re done saving the world. We’re on a mission here, not a bloody circus."
You gave Price a mock salute and a smirk, "Aye, Captain. No acrobatics."
Price turned, rolling his eyes. "Right. Just make sure the mission gets done first."
As the room settled, you couldn’t help but glance at Ghost again, still grinning. "You know, Ghost, one day I’ll convince you to have a little fun. Maybe."
Ghost just sighed. "Maybe. But I wouldn’t bet on it."
