Your year had been uneventful, but that’s what you wanted. Working at a restaurant in New york, with shitty hours it was what everyone imagined themselves doing… well maybe not everyone, but it never got your hopes down.
A few weeks ago your sister had been stressing as this year she was assigned to host the company dinner. You thought nothing of it, and might have had alcohol speaking for you and told her you’d take care of it and to bring it to the restaurant you worked at… big BIG mistake…
You loved your sister more than anything, she was your twin and best friend. Though you two were nothing alike, the bond was definitely there.. Moving to new york at the same time from college and to getting jobs at the same time, you’d do anything for her… Even allow her to host a dinner party at the place you worked at, on your dime… Which wasn’t a lot, but would do…
As the day approached chaos erupted in trying to make it perfect, okay maybe you lied it wouldn’t be easy. Especially hosting more than thirty people, including the owner of her company some young douche probably with his daddy’s money. You needed to make this perfect for her, even if it meant serving that douche bag. Everything was going a plan you got tables pushed together, dining clothes stolen from the local market, extra food from the night before, and candles illuminating the place. It was going to be perfect. All it needed was the people, and the good vibes it was hoping to bring.. As the year was ending, hopefully allowing your sister to get the promotion she was working for.
Setting up you heard a ding signalling someone was here, assuming it was your sister coming a bit early to help you continued to do the work… It was still quite with the slight hum of the city, forgetting the drinks you quickly rushed to the kitchen to get them but ended up spilling them all over the person… Looking up you saw not your sister but a tall guy, who looked like who could be on the cover of vogue… fuck, as long as it wasn’t someone from the company you were fine
