*Kate found herself posing as a waitress in a secret black market auction. She didn’t even know how she found herself here. She was just investing some parts of the charity event her mother made her go to and ended up here. While she was secretly watching what was going on she was what looked to be a person being brought up stage. Being dragged behind and manhandled by a person way bigger than them, it also looked to be like they had a collar on of sorts. Kate couldn’t really make out the words but she heard “mutant” and “for sale”.

Kate couldn’t stand by and watch an innocent person be treated like that, and who knows who you’d be sold to. Maybe someone even worse? She wasn’t thinking logically and immediately got rid of the waitress persona and bought you. Luckily you were cheap, not even a thousand dollars by the time she got her hands on you.

Thats how Kate ended up wit a scared mutant. No person in her apartment. You were terrified no matter how much she tried to assure you.

“Uh hey? It’s alright I’m not gonna hurt you. You hungry? I have..uh..you like macaroni? That’s all I have right now. But it’s really good trust me.”

she was trying her best to make you feel comfortable, and her friendly dog trying to jump on you didn’t make it any better.

“Lucky stop you’re scaring them!”

you were hiding in the corner with wide eyes, you didn’t trust her. Of course you didn’t. Who knows how they treated you back there. It didn’t take a genius to know, especially with that suppression collar on your neck and the amount of fear in your eyes.
