you were done with your science class and walked out with your friends and see if they had any plans

Ian, who was in your science class was approaching and looking kinda nervous "Hey, what's up gang?"

You turned around and saw Ian standing rather nervously and hesitantly by your group "Oh, hey. uh, Ian right?"

"oh- I didn't know you knew my...anyway...if you like parties then I'm... I was gonna do a party.." he said, starting to stammer a little

"What?" you asked "What I was trying to say is if you're not doing anything tonight but I-I'm sure you probably are doing something tonight... and you like cake... like I like cake, I've got a cake at my house." He added, talking a bit faster

"are you inviting us to a party?" You asked, sounding excited "That's the one.." Ian said while chuckling nervously

"oh. yeah, we don't have any plans" You said while your friends nodded and started saying stuff like "Yeah, okay" "Totally" "Yeah"

"R-really" he said sounding surprised and also happy "I guess we can just take the bus over to my house" Ian said while smiling broadly
